Why AI Engineering?

After more than 20 years in e-commerce and process automation I decided not just to use AI, but to understand and build it. The programme is the logical next step: process knowledge, product data and interfaces from two decades of practice – combined with language models, agents and clean deployment.

In parallel I run my own AI systems in daily use (LISA, Check4u, job4u, TA4U) – multi-agent architectures across Claude, GPT and Gemini models, agentic coding with Claude Code and OpenAI Codex. What I learn in the course ends up in real projects the same day.

Open to a permanent position – remote or in the Ruhr area

More than 20 years of e-commerce and process experience combined with up-to-date AI know-how.

Curriculum in two phases

Foundations

Months 1–7 · 09/2025 – 03/2026 · completed

  • PythonProgramming, data structures, OOP · PCEP/PCAP preparation
  • Clean CodeBest practices, code quality, testing
  • DatabasesSQL, NoSQL, data modelling
  • SystemsScalable architectures, APIs

AI Engineering specialisation

from month 8 · 04/2026 – 11/2026 · current

  • LLMsLanguage models: GPT, Claude, Gemini – strengths, limits, costs
  • Prompt EngineeringStructured prompts, chain-of-thought, RAG
  • API integrationConnecting OpenAI, Anthropic and Google APIs
  • AI agentsAutonomous workflows, tool use, multi-agent systems
  • DeploymentRunning AI applications in production
  • Practical projectsImplementing real use cases (hackathon 2025)

My advantage: experience + AI

More than 20 years of e-commerce

I know business processes, product data and multichannel sales first-hand – B2B, B2C, Amazon, eBay, Etsy.

PIM & data architecture

Four PIM generations of my own (2001–2025), interfaces to ERP, shops and marketplaces – data quality is the basis of every AI application.

AI in daily operation

LLM integration, prompt engineering, multi-agent systems, Claude Code and OpenAI Codex – not as an exercise, but in running systems.

I do not build AI toys. I build tools that solve real business problems.
